Thank you for taking the time to check out my website.
I'm a wife and mom of three grown kiddos and a sweet fur-daughter, Willa.
I enjoy writing, boating, kayaking, lounging on the beach, where I'm happiest with my feet in the water and my face in the sun and a glass of a sweet red wine in my hand.
I love reading, dinners out, theater...and if I must confess, I do truly wish life was a musical. Every word would be sung in song and every movement a dance.
I'm a huge fan of Beverly Hills 90210, (hey! don't judge me) Dirty Dancing, Downton Abbey, Pride & Prejudice and Anne of Green Gables. It doesn't matter how many times I see them, I always look forward to watching them again.
As long as I can remember, I've always been attracted to the light...called by it actually. There is little more beautiful, than a sunset or rise-though I'll confess, I'm not up for the rise if I can help it. (I've never been a morning person) When I'm not outside, I'm dreaming of it. It's the place my heart feels the most alive and the most at peace.
I do so hope that I've taught my kids to see the light and the beauty of the shadows. It's not uncommon for me to catch its glory through a window and grab the hand of whoever's around and drag them to my front porch where we can bask in its warmth and splendor. It's like a holy service to me. A time and place where I can reflect on the goodness of God and his wonderful talent to create. It is with this passion for light that I draw from while photographing people. (Another of God's great creations) Looking for new ways to see light and use it. I found photography the way many do, through taking pics of my kiddos. Through that I discovered my passion, honed my skills and challenged myself to see the things that I too, once missed.
